Resident Intern, January 21, 2025-present

  • Immersed with the Panay-Bukidnon indigenous people’s community in Jamindan, Capiz
  • Served as paralegal for the Center’s legal aid clinics
  • Prepared affidavits and managed case folders for the cases handled by the Center
  • Interviewed clients regarding their case, and reported the recommendations to the supervising lawyer
  • Supported projects relating to indigenous people’s rights, access to justice, anti-impunity, and media freedom
  • Participated in capacity-building trainings (e.g., trauma-informed client interview, documentation and scoping)

  • As a member of the official student publication of the University of the Philippines Diliman, I covered the issues affecting the university, human rights, and the budget, while occasionally writing opinion pieces

Some Creative Works

Curator, Above the Fold: Pages of the Philippine Collegian Under Marcos Regime

  • An exhibit showcasing the Philippine Collegian’s pages and reportage during before, during and after the Marcos Sr. regime
  • The exhibit was originally through an online platform during the COVID-19 pandemic to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the First Quarter Storm
  • Partnered with the University Archives and crowdsourced from the alumni to obtain and complete the publication’s archive of issues (from 1920’s to present)
  • Secured funding from the Office of Initiatives for Culture and the Arts, in partnership with the UP Bulwagan ng Dangal Museum to implement the program
  • Led a team of 20 people for the exhibit and its launch through a public roundtable discussion

Copyeditor and contributor, Points of Contact: The 2021 Philippine Collegian literary anthology

  • Contributed an essay for the literary anthology dealing with the value of distance and space amid the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Served as a copyeditor for the literary anthology which was funded in part by the University of the Philippines Diliman
